Gensyn

Gensyn

Gensyn is a decentralized machine learning compute protocol that aims to create a global, peer-to-peer network for training AI models. Secured by a blockchain and a custom Ethereum Rollup, it allows anyone to contribute or access computational resources, providing a cost-effective and accessible alternative to centralized cloud providers. The ultimate goal is to make machine learning compute an always-on, commodity resource, accelerating AI progress for everyone.

Description

Gensyn is developing a decentralized machine learning compute protocol, described as 'The Network for Machine Intelligence,' with the mission to make computational power for AI a globally accessible, uncensorable, and commodity-like resource. The protocol establishes a peer-to-peer network secured by a blockchain, allowing anyone to contribute idle compute power (like GPUs) and enabling developers to train AI models at a lower cost than traditional centralized cloud providers. Gensyn addresses core technical challenges such as consistent execution across heterogeneous hardware, trustless verification of computations, efficient communication for distributed workloads, and decentralized coordination of participants. The network's coordination is managed by a custom Ethereum Rollup, and the project is being rolled out through a public testnet. By creating this open and permissionless infrastructure, Gensyn aims to democratize AI development, prevent its centralization, and accelerate innovation in machine intelligence.
