Its activities span community, research, and participatory operations, including governance infrastructure, DAO standards, online-community tools, knowledge infrastructure, datasets, seminars, and public-interest AI initiatives. Metagov was founded in 2019 and officially spun out as an independent nonprofit in January 2020.
