Description

Perun is an off-chain framework that supports real-time payments, complex business logic, and interoperability between blockchains. The framework seamlessly integrates into blockchain solutions to enable cross-chain functionality, unlimited scalability, provable security, and offline payments. It connects people across multiple blockchains, allowing for interoperability between different currencies and networks. By applying Layer-2-Technology, transactions are instant, energy-efficient, and cheap, leading to massively increased throughput. Its virtual channel technology can keep transaction data private and is proven secure. Perun also supports payments over NFC and Bluetooth without an active internet connection. The technology is based on state channels, which allow users to execute numerous transactions off-chain while security is backed by the underlying blockchain. The framework is developed as part of the Perun Hyperledger Lab and is implemented in Go.
