Description
Web3Auth provides passwordless authentication and non-custodial wallet infrastructure for Web3 applications and wallets, offering a fully self-custodial login experience with Wallet-as-a-Service (WaaS) powered by Multi-Party Computation (MPC). Since its start in 2019, it has grown to support nearly 50 million end-users and over 8,200 dApps. The company has been acquired by Consensys and is being integrated with MetaMask to improve user experience. This integration aims to provide seamless onboarding with social logins, introduce stronger account security through MPC and multi-factor authentication (MFA), and create synergies between embedded wallets and MetaMask, such as enabling smart accounts. For developers, Web3Auth is launching a unified dashboard with integrations like Infura support and MetaMask's Delegation Toolkit. The team has fully transitioned to Consensys but will operate as an independent brand, continuing its product roadmap with accelerated resources.Grant Funding
