Description
3DNS tokenizes domain names, working with an ICANN accredited registrar to initiate domain registration off-chain and then securely tokenize the domain as an onchain asset for Web3 integration. Every 3DNS domain is minted as an ERC-721 token, making it compatible with major NFT marketplaces like OpenSea and Blur, and allowing instant transfers and wallet-based DNS record management. Domains can be paid for with crypto or a credit card, removing the need to hold tokens on Optimism or pay high gas fees. 3DNS domains also double as ENS names, functioning as a Decentralized ID (DID) that can be personalized with an avatar and social links. The platform is building further service integrations (such as Gmail) and native multisig support via Safe integration for teams managing domain names. 3DNS primarily serves Web3 developers and crypto-native users seeking onchain control over their domain assets.Grant Funding
