AgroforestDAO builds decentralized governance for agroforestry commons using Web3 tools, creating educational spaces, protocols and incentives focused on agroforestry to support long-term positive-sum interactions such as knowledge sharing, training and joint ventures, while building reputation via a member ID. Its pilot agroforestry system, planted collectively (mutirão), issued NFT certificates linking participants to future harvests. The 'Ninhos da Redenção' NFT collection allows anyone to actively participate in caring for the successional nests of Morro da Redenção, the pilot agroforestry system (SAF), bridging urban and rural communities for human regeneration. Each NFT is valid for 12 months and represents participation in returns from crops such as bananas, avocados, juçara palms, jatoba and jackfruit, sold on Optimism network via OpenSea. The organization serves mentors experienced in agroforestry management, learners (apprentices, volunteers and nomads) studying agroforestry and Web3, and landowners who can offer land as learning fields for mentors and apprentices.Grant Funding
