Description
ATX DAO was founded in October 2021 by a group of crypto professionals and enthusiasts in Austin with the objective of making Austin the crypto capital of the world. As a City DAO with around 230 members, it works to unite Austin's crypto communities, enable local artists and businesses to participate in the crypto ecosystem, and educate government officials about the benefits of Web3. The organization has engaged in public advocacy, including providing feedback at an Austin City Council meeting on Web3 resolutions and hosting a government relations event with politicians to discuss crypto policy in the City of Austin and State of Texas. It also runs a Partner Network connecting companies and startups with the local crypto community through quarterly showcases and podcast features, and produces the ATX DAO Podcast highlighting community members and the broader Web3 ecosystem.
