Axon is a Layer 2 framework designed to facilitate the development of appchains. It features universal abstraction, allowing for the creation of custom account models and virtual machine instructions. The platform provides a developer-friendly toolkit that automates off-chain communication to lower deployment costs. Axon is highly interoperable, being fully EVM compatible with planned integration of the Inter-Blockchain Communication Protocol (IBC) to connect with the Cosmos ecosystem. It uses a Byzantine Fault Tolerance (BFT) based consensus algorithm that supports high throughput (over 3000 TPS) with fast transaction finality.
