Description
Base is an Ethereum Layer 2 network built on the OP Stack and incubated by Coinbase, designed to serve as the foundation for global onchain finance. The network provides sub-second, sub-cent transactions supporting trading markets, stablecoin payments, and AI agent infrastructure. Ecosystem products include Basenames for on-chain identity, a native bridge to Ethereum, and Base App for consumer-facing finance.
