Baseline

Baseline is an onchain asset issuance protocol that lets tokens own and manage their own liquidity. It provides a built-in, transparent market maker (the Baseline Market Maker / Mercury AMM), an enforced floor price, staking, borrowing, and leverage mechanisms, aiming to replace traditional tokenomics design and mercenary market makers for token issuers and their communities.

Description

Baseline is a protocol for issuing onchain assets in which tokens intelligently manage their own liquidity rather than relying on external, often predatory, market makers. Its core innovation, the Baseline Market Maker (BMM) and its Mercury upgrade, is a supply-aware AMM that separates reserves into a backing pool (guaranteeing an unbreakable floor price) and a buffer pool (handling price discovery), running fully onchain and transparently 24/7. Every trade generates fees that reward stakers, fund automated buybacks, and compound token value over time through a self-reinforcing flywheel. Additional features include bTokens (a tokenized representation of a user's deposited position that accrues staking rewards and can be used as collateral), 0% interest borrowing against a token's floor value, and no-liquidation leverage via an 'Afterburner' mechanism for automated buybacks. Baseline primarily serves token founders and projects looking to launch and sustain healthier tokenomics, as well as the communities and holders of those tokens.
