The platform is designed to spread socially, like memes, across group chats, streams, and community feeds, with each market seeding a micro-economy for its community. Bento's roadmap includes permissionless market creation, leagues and multiple market types, an economic and social layer, and upstream/downstream features. The founders met during DeFi summer and have continued building crypto products since, with Bento winning 2nd prize in Base Batches 001. The product is developed by One Labs Inc., based in Panama.
