Description
Bitweb Core develops and maintains the open-source software for the Bitweb (BTE) network, a cryptocurrency using the Argon2id proof-of-work algorithm to resist ASIC mining and support fair, memory-hard mining via CPU and GPU. The project offers a full node wallet and a web wallet, publishes RPC and developer documentation, a whitepaper, and mining resources, and builds reproducible binaries via GNU Guix with GPG-signed release attestations. BTE represents a full relaunch of a previous chain, with a clean genesis, a 100:1 legacy-coin conversion ratio, and a built-in vesting/maturity lock mechanism to protect against sudden sell pressure from distributed coins. Development is community-driven and hosted on GitHub under the MIT license, primarily serving miners, node operators, mining pools, and holders of BTE.
