Bitkey

Description

Bitkey is a Bitcoin self-custody wallet built as one integrated system combining security, recovery, and inheritance. It uses a 2-of-3 multisig model where the user holds two keys and a third key exists solely for recovery, meaning no single device, key, or company can move the user's Bitcoin alone. The device features an on-device screen to verify transactions and sensitive account changes, a biometric fingerprint sensor, NFC connectivity, a Corian Solid Surface exterior, an OLED touchscreen, and up to a year of battery life, removing the need for seed phrase handoffs or complicated setup. It serves everyday Bitcoin holders seeking a simpler, more resilient alternative to exchanges (which involve custodial risk) and typical hardware wallets (which rely on a single seed phrase as a single point of failure). Bitkey costs $250 and is sold directly via the company's website, with supporting resources including a blog, learning hub, and support site. Bitkey is a product of Block, Inc.
