Description

Bluefin is building a comprehensive decentralized financial ecosystem, evolving from its origins as Firefly, a derivatives-focused DEX. The platform now includes Bluefin Pro for high-performance derivatives, Bluefin Spot for accessible spot trading, and a planned Aggregator for price efficiency. Built on the high-throughput Sui blockchain, Bluefin utilizes an off-chain Central Limit Order Book (CLOB) combined with on-chain smart contracts to offer low latency and no-cost order posting while maintaining the security and self-custody of DeFi. The protocol is governed by the community through the BLUE token, with the Bluefin Foundation overseeing its growth and security. Bluefin targets a wide range of users, from institutional and professional traders to newcomers, and is backed by prominent firms like Polychain, Brevan Howard Digital, and SIG. The platform is not available to residents of the U.S. and other restricted jurisdictions.
