Description
Chicago Trading Company (CTC) is a proprietary trading firm founded in 1995, originally operating on Chicago's trading floors and now working out of its own space that fosters collaboration among traders, quants, technologists, and operations teams. CTC actively trades across a broad spectrum of asset classes including equities, fixed income, and commodities, with a premier focus on options market making. Its Technology team builds and operates a proprietary trading platform spanning infrastructure to custom application software, developed in collaboration with the Trading and Quant teams. The Quant team supports trading disciplines through the scientific method, strategy generation, and pricing of financial derivatives, while the Operations team spans Finance and Accounting, Legal and Compliance, Technology Business Management, Human Capital, and Office Services. CTC has offices in Chicago, London, New York, and Amsterdam, and does not appear to serve external clients but rather trades proprietarily using its own capital.
