Comm

Comm is a privacy-focused, end-to-end encrypted messaging app for communities. It extends Signal-style encryption with personal keyservers to support community features such as channels, roles, threads, encrypted backups, and Ethereum-wallet-based identity.
New York, USA

Description

Comm develops an end-to-end encrypted community messaging service designed to combine Signal-level privacy with a Slack-like feature set. Communities are hosted on private personal servers called keyservers, enabling encrypted messaging, backups, account recovery, and community functionality while keeping message content inaccessible to Comm. The service supports usernames or Ethereum wallet identities, and users can run keyservers using its Docker Compose configuration. Comm is now under the 501(c)(3) non-profit Helio Networks, and its founder continues to actively develop and support it.
