Commercio.Network SpA

Commercio.network SpA is an Italian software house (Schio, Italy) that develops and operates Commercio.network, a public, permissionless, eIDAS-compliant blockchain built on the Cosmos SDK. It provides white-label tokenization platforms (NFT/RWA registries, security tokens, utility tokens, and asset-referenced tokens) and digital-transformation tools (electronic identity, e-signature, e-delivery, e-archive, e-KYC) to European enterprises, financial intermediaries, and companies seeking regulatory-compliant blockchain solutions under frameworks such as MiCAR and Italy's Fintech decree.

Description

Commercio.network began in 2018 as Commerc.io srl, later becoming the non-profit Commercio Consortium that launched the Commercio.network blockchain mainnet in 2020. In 2021-2022 the consortium dissolved and its shareholders became shareholders of Commercio.network S.p.A., which pivoted from an in-house software developer for the consortium into a commercial venture focused on asset tokenization for outside clients. The company operates a Cosmos-SDK-based, eIDAS-compliant, permissionless blockchain secured by up to 100 KYC/AML-vetted validator nodes, offering native tokens COM (staking/utility token, 60M fixed supply) and CCC (a stable, euro-pegged fee credit). Its technology stack includes SSI-based digital identities, e-signature, e-delivery, e-archive/WORM storage, e-KYC/AML, SEPA payment requests, and token minting (E-MINT) and financial-instrument registry (E-REG) modules. Building on this, Commercio.network SpA now develops white-label tokenization software platforms enabling clients to issue and manage NFT-based real-world-asset certificates, digital security tokens, utility tokens, and asset-referenced tokens in compliance with MiCAR and the Italian Fintech decree. The company explicitly positions itself as a software house providing technical tools to clients (it is not itself authorized to provide investment, crypto-asset, or registry services). Its ecosystem includes roughly 90-100 partner/member companies (e.g., Namirial, Altea, Corvallis, StakeLab, Noder) that run validator nodes and build B2B solutions on the network, and it offers hosted wallet/API middleware (Commercio.app) plus mobile wallet apps to simplify development for clients.
