Description

Counterparty extends Bitcoin by embedding interpretable data in ordinary Bitcoin transactions, allowing Counterparty nodes to maintain a protocol ledger on top of the Bitcoin blockchain. The protocol supports custom assets and NFTs, decentralized and trustless exchange, automated financial agreements, token minting, atomic swaps, and infrastructure for decentralized applications. Its ecosystem includes independent wallets, explorers, and marketplaces, while Counterparty Core provides the reference node software and APIs for users and developers.
