CriptoCantina® is an initiative launched by the Asociación Blockchain Costa Rica (AsoBlockchain) as a series of recurring in-person and virtual meetups covering topics such as Web3, DeFi/CeFi, NFTs, stablecoins, regenerative finance (ReFi), AI, and blockchain onboarding for newcomers ('Normies'). The events serve local developers, startups, investors, and crypto/fintech enthusiasts, and have hosted guests and topics ranging from Ripio's stablecoin launch, Nimiq payments, Hypercerts talks, and startup advice sessions to holiday and themed networking gatherings. As part of the broader AsoBlockchain ecosystem, CriptoCantina complements the association's other efforts such as the annual TicoBlockchain conference, hackathons (e.g., ETH Pura VIDA, Hacker House Costa Rica), and partnerships with organizations like CAMTIC and ULACIT, positioning Costa Rica as a growing regional hub for blockchain and fintech innovation.Grant Funding
