As a major contributor to the Internet Computer blockchain, the foundation's primary purpose is to relentlessly expand the capabilities of the network and support the ecosystem building on it. DFINITY operates research centers in Zurich, the US, and the UK, housing one of the largest R&D teams in the crypto space. This team works to advance the vision of a decentralized 'world computer' blockchain that can host systems and services directly on-chain.
