Description
DigiByte is a rapidly growing open-source blockchain created in late 2013 and released in early 2014. After over a decade of development, it has become one of the safest, fastest, longest, and most decentralized UTXO blockchains. The platform is structured in three layers: an application layer for digital assets (DigiAssets), smart contracts, and dApps; a security and administration layer that functions as an immutable public ledger; and a core protocol layer for global network communication. DigiAssets allows for the secure creation of digital representations of real-world assets. Digi-ID is a security protocol for user authentication without usernames or passwords. The project is volunteer-based, community-driven, and was never funded by an ICO.Grant Funding
