DLUX is a multi-faceted, open-source project operating as a Layer 2 solution on the Hive blockchain. It began as a platform for users to build and monetize virtual reality (VR) experiences using A-Frame and has since evolved into a comprehensive Decentralized Finance (DeFi) ecosystem. This ecosystem includes a native token with time-locking for governance, a Decentralized Exchange (DEX) for atomic swaps, and a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO). DLUX also supports interactive and generative Smart NFTs (SNFTs). The platform's architecture is a Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Network (DePIN), which utilizes a global network of Honeycomb Layer 2 nodes. These nodes contribute spare compute resources for services such as decentralized storage via IPFS, video transcoding, and streaming, empowering the development of next-generation Web3 applications. Additionally, DLUX offers a utility for the Hive community to monitor the performance of network witnesses, vote for them, and view real-time blockchain statistics.
