It connects travelers directly with property owners, enabling bookings with both fiat and cryptocurrency, thereby reducing fees. The ecosystem is built on the Nite Protocol, an open-source standard that powers transparent, secure peer-to-peer booking contracts and serves as a decentralized data layer. Property owners can list their properties by connecting their direct booking site or creating a new one for free by importing their Airbnb listings. The native TRVL token is central to the ecosystem, used for rewarding users, offering booking discounts, staking for rewards via Stay Keys, and participating in the governance of the Dtravel DAO.
