Eppie is a Web3 native, encrypted peer-to-peer email and identity manager. It replaces centralized, corporate-owned email infrastructure with a decentralized system where mail, contacts, and attachments are encrypted and exchanged directly between users without intermediaries or central servers.

Description
Eppie describes itself as the first Web3 email, aiming to return privacy rights to users by eliminating centralized email providers that store and control personal data. The platform uses elliptic curve cryptography, generating a BIP39 seed phrase at signup to derive private and public keys, and secures all emails using the ECDH protocol. Data is exchanged directly between mailboxes via encrypted peer-to-peer connections and stored in a distributed, fragmented network rather than on corporate servers, making accounts resistant to reading or blocking. Users can access Eppie as an email client on any device and restore all data and settings using a single seed phrase, while maintaining full backward compatibility with classic email accounts. The project is open source and under active development on GitHub, targeting individuals seeking privacy-preserving, decentralized alternatives to traditional email services.
