Flashbots is a research and development organization working to mitigate the negative effects of maximal extractable value (MEV) on stateful blockchains, beginning with Ethereum. It develops open infrastructure and tools for block production, transaction protection, and MEV research for Ethereum users, validators, builders, relayers, and rollup developers.

Flashbots develops and maintains open-source MEV infrastructure and research initiatives intended to make block production more permissionless, transparent, competitive, and sustainable. Its products include MEV-Boost for Ethereum validators, relays and block-building tools, BuilderNet, Rollup-Boost, Flashbots Protect RPC, and MEV-Share. It also runs an open research program, including Flashbots Research Proposals and fellowship grants, addressing MEV market dynamics, blockchain design, economics, security, and cryptography.Grant Funding
