Fluent is an Ethereum Layer 2 platform that introduces a 'blended execution' environment, integrating multiple virtual machines like EVM, SVM, and Wasm into a single, unified chain. Developed by Fluent Labs, this allows developers to build applications using a wide range of programming languages (such as Solidity, Rust, and Vyper) and leverage existing smart contracts from different ecosystems. The platform operates as a zero-knowledge rollup (specifically zkWasm-based), aiming to provide full Ethereum security while enabling parallel execution for enhanced performance. A key feature is the atomic composability between different smart contracts, which are all accessible through a single wallet, eliminating the need for bridges. Fluent is EVM-compatible, ensuring easy integration with existing developer tools and infrastructure.
