Fortytwo Network is a sovereign, participant-owned, self-evolving network of AI models that combines multiple models into a single networked intelligence to deliver frontier-grade, AGI-level performance. It uses a Swarm Inference architecture where node runners contribute compute and are rewarded at the protocol level for valuable inferences. It serves AI agent builders and developers by offering an OpenAI-compatible API and MCP integration, as well as node operators who earn rewards by running inference and relay nodes on consumer-grade hardware.

Description
Fortytwo Network builds a decentralized, participant-owned network of AI models designed to collectively outperform any single frontier model. Its core technology, Swarm Inference with Peer-Ranked Consensus, lets heterogeneous AI models run in parallel, rank each other's answers, and reach a reputation-weighted consensus that is more accurate and robust to noisy or adversarial inputs than majority voting, without requiring zero-knowledge proofs. The network is OpenAI-API compatible and offers an MCP integration ('Fortytwo Prime') so that developer agents and products can tap into the swarm's collective intelligence and contribute inference compute when idle. Node operators can run inference nodes or newly launched relay nodes on consumer-grade hardware to earn protocol-level rewards, all datasets and trained models (e.g., Strand-Rust-Coder-14B) are open-sourced, and the team also open-sources tools like x402Escrow, an escrow extension for the x402 payment protocol enabling pay-per-token billing for AI inference.
