Frame

Frame is an open-source, system-wide web3 interface for desktop that lets any browser, command-line, or native application access web3 without being confined to a browser extension. It provides omnichain routing across EVM chains, local transaction decoding, and strong hardware wallet support, serving crypto users and developers who want secure, privacy-focused access to blockchain accounts and dapps from anywhere on their machine.

Description

Frame is a desktop application that creates a secure, system-wide interface to web3 chains and accounts, transcending the limitations of browser extensions. It offers omnichain routing to operate across multiple EVM chains simultaneously, decodes transaction calldata locally using verified ABIs for transparent and secure transaction summaries, and provides OS-level integrations with hardware wallets such as Ledger, Trezor, and GridPlus for more reliable connections. Frame is privacy focused, giving users control over their data and the ability to point the app at trusted infrastructure of their choice, and it is open source with code freely available on GitHub, welcoming community contributions. The project undergoes regular security audits from firms like Cure53 and Doyensec. For dapps that don't yet support Frame natively, a Companion Browser Extension can inject a connection, including a mode to appear as MetaMask for compatibility, along with ENS name verification. Frame serves individual web3 users and developers who want a more secure, flexible, and system-wide way to interact with blockchain applications outside the browser.
