FriendsFingers is an open-source Decentralized Application built on Ethereum smart contracts that enables startups and small businesses to run trustworthy, no-setup-cost, no-code crowdsales (ICOs). Contributors' funds are held in a smart contract until a campaign's goal or deadline is reached, after which funds are released to project owners or refunded to contributors, removing the need for a centralized arbitrator. The platform issues Shaka (HAK), an ERC20 token that gives holders voting rights on platform decisions (such as blocking fraudulent crowdsales or deciding how to use unclaimed fee funds) in a DAO-like governance structure, along with fee discounts and promotional benefits. FriendsFingers also operates a token faucet for distributing free Shaka and other supported tokens, and provides a listing service for third-party ICO contracts.
