Gaingels co-invests with select venture capital leads in companies committed to building diverse and inclusive teams, aiming to drive top returns while representing a diverse group of investors including the LGBTQ+ community and its allies. Since 2019, Gaingels has deployed over $990 million (surpassing $1 billion as of January 2026) into a portfolio of over 2,400 companies across sectors including AI, healthcare, fintech, defense, and deep tech, from Seed to Growth/pre-IPO stages. Through the Gaingels Letter, the Venture Inclusion Program, and a free diverse board member/observer recruitment advisory, Gaingels helps portfolio companies build more diverse leadership, and it is a founding co-signer of the Diversity Term Sheet Rider Initiative. The organization serves accredited investor members (with no minimum yearly commitment or membership fee) as well as a broader non-accredited community that can access social events, ecosystem trips, a job portal, and newsletters; its clients/focus are high-growth startup founders, particularly diverse and underrepresented (including LGBTQ+) leaders, across technology, B2B, healthcare, and consumer sectors.
