Description
GiveCredit is a platform that facilitates tax-deductible donations of carbon credits to worthy non-profit organizations. Its featured project, 'Towards a Carbon-Neutral Stellar Blockchain,' is a partnership with Public Node and Stellar Carbon aimed at helping XLM holders offset the carbon footprint of the Stellar blockchain. When a donation is made to Public Node, a registered 501C3 non-profit, Soroban smart contracts automatically allocate the funds into chunks used to purchase carbon credits, and the donor receives a receipt NFT showing the estimated offset. Once the carbon credit is retired, an NFT is minted showing the number of credits retired. The platform primarily serves individual donors and XLM/Stellar blockchain holders interested in environmental sustainability and carbon offsetting.Grant Funding
