GPUNet

GPUNet

GPUNet is a decentralized computing platform that creates a global network of GPU resources. By connecting data centers and individual providers, it offers on-demand computational power for demanding applications like AI, machine learning, and rendering. The platform operates on its own Layer 1 blockchain, GAN Chain, to ensure transparent and efficient resource allocation.

Description

GPUNet is a decentralized computing platform designed to address the growing scarcity of computational resources, particularly GPUs, driven by the advent of neural networks and AI. The platform connects disparate GPU resources from data centers and independent providers around the globe, creating a 'Planetary Grid of Compute'. This allows anyone with idle capacity to become a provider, ensuring that resources are not wasted and are available on demand. GPUNet offers access to thousands of GPUs, including high-end models like H100s and A6000s, along with high-speed storage, promising scalability and competitive pricing. The entire system is built upon its own Layer 1 blockchain, the GAN Chain, which is secured by numerous validators and node holders. The platform supports a variety of use cases, including Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (training, finetuning, inferencing), rendering, simulations, data analytics, and scientific computation.
