Description

Gyroscope is a DeFi protocol focused on solving the problem of optimal liquidity provision. It offers concentrated liquidity pools for both volatile pairs (e.g., ETH, BTC) and stable assets, using asymmetric liquidity design to generate higher and more efficient swap-fee yields for liquidity providers. Its core product, GYD, is described as a 'superliquid' stablecoin that maintains deep liquidity around peg, acting as a hub asset that reduces liquidity fragmentation and enables on-demand minting and redemption. The protocol is built on top of Balancer pools and integrates with major DeFi infrastructure including Aave, Polygon, Rocket Pool, Spark, 1inch, KyberSwap, ParaSwap, 0x, Tellor, and Aura Finance. It is supported by investors such as Placeholder VC, Galaxy, Maven 11, Robot Ventures, and Archetype, and has undergone audits by Nethermind, Runtime Verification, and Trail of Bits. The protocol is developed by FTL Labs and governed via an on-chain/forum-based governance process, targeting DeFi liquidity providers, stablecoin users, and integrating protocols as its primary clients.
