HandlPay describes itself as the world's first social payment directory, turning social media usernames (Instagram, X, WhatsApp, Telegram, Google, with LinkedIn and Spotify coming) into private, cross-chain and cross-currency payment handles. Senders only need a recipient's social handle to pay them via card, Apple Pay, bank transfer, or crypto, with HandlPay auto-converting and routing funds to the recipient's chosen bank account, e-wallet, or crypto wallet (supporting Base, Polygon, and the privacy-focused Canton Network). The product emphasizes security (verified handle ownership, no mistyped addresses) and privacy (no public payment history tied to a username), positioning itself as simpler than PayPal or remittance providers like Wise for freelancers, content creators, and individuals receiving payments from clients across borders, including in emerging markets.
