Hedge (operated by Hedge Capital Markets Inc. and its subsidiary Hedge Pro LLC) is a licensed financial institution and mobile investing app aimed at making investing collaborative and accessible. Users can build a Personal Portfolio to invest on their own, or form Hedge Groups with family and friends to pool contributions, discuss ideas in a private chat, and vote on which US-listed stocks and ETFs to buy or sell, with configurable voting thresholds (simple majority, super majority, or unanimous). Users retain full individual ownership and control of their cash and investments even within groups, receive their own tax forms, and can withdraw to their Personal Portfolio at any time. Brokerage, clearing, and custody services are provided through Hedge Pro LLC (SEC-registered broker-dealer, FINRA/SIPC member) and Apex Clearing Corporation, with SIPC protection plus excess coverage up to $37.5M. The company's mission is to restore upward mobility to the American Dream by empowering the 150M+ Americans who are 'unbrokered' and lack a support system to start investing, serving retail, non-accredited individual investors and their families/friend groups as clients.
