Description
Helium is a decentralized wireless network that allows anyone to build and own massive wireless networks, challenging the traditional telecom industry. The ecosystem is composed of two networks: Helium IoT, a global, low-power, long-range network for machines and sensors, and Helium Mobile, a transformative cellular network. The economic backbone of this model is HNT, a cryptocurrency, which provides incentive for growth. HNT must be burned to purchase Data Credits for devices to use the networks. This model puts network ownership in the hands of the people, aiming for fairer and stronger connectivity.Grant Funding
