Hive Backed Dollar (HBD) is a native stablecoin on the Hive blockchain that uses decentralized HBD-to-HIVE and HIVE-to-HBD conversion operations to support its US$1 peg. It uses Hive’s fast, fee-less transactions, offers a savings account with a three-day unlock period and variable witness-voted interest, and includes a haircut rule that limits the HBD-to-HIVE debt ratio by stopping HBD issuance and allowing the peg to vary at or above 30%.Category: Stablecoin Issuance
