HOPR is a project focused on blockchain data protection, online privacy, and personal data control. It operates a decentralized incentivized mixnet that provides full control over privacy, data, and metadata for individuals and institutions by sending data via multiple hops to obscure its origin and destination. Node runners are incentivized with HOPR tokens through a proof-of-relay mechanism and can use plug-and-earn mixnet node PCs. The protocol utilizes a custom layer-two scaling solution on Ethereum for efficient, decentralized settlement. Developers can build privacy-preserving dApps on HOPR using high-level APIs.
