Description
DracoBFT is Hotstuff L1’s consensus layer. It uses stake-weighted leader selection, pipelined block production, two-round deterministic finality, and partial synchrony with n = 3f + 1 Byzantine tolerance. Its documented innovations include Chained Change-Log Commitments, which hash only keys changed per block, and side-loops: auxiliary validator execution domains for services such as zkTLS verification, cross-chain state verification, private computation, compliance or identity checks, and payment routing without blocking core consensus.Category: L1
