HTMLCOIN is the native coin and gas that powers the Althash blockchain. It was launched in 2014 as a Bitcoin clone and later rebranded in 2017. HTMLCOIN is a Proof of Work/Proof of Stake hybrid cryptocurrency based on the Bitcoin Core algorithm. It incorporates an Account Abstraction Layer, allowing an account-based Virtual Machine (similar to Ethereum's EVM) to operate on a Bitcoin UTXO-based blockchain.
