Ideamarket

Ideamarket is a decentralized, on-chain platform that builds credibility infrastructure for information and opinions, independent of institutions like legacy media, academia, or governments. Users create posts and pay to rate them, generating an on-chain record of who believed what, when, and with how much confidence. It serves individuals, thought leaders, researchers, and communities (e.g., DeSci, DAOs) seeking to legitimize ideas, track thought-leadership, and analyze crowdsourced opinion data.

Description

Ideamarket is a Web3 protocol, live on Arbitrum, that lets users create posts (for 0.001 ETH) and rate them (for 0.001 ETH paid to the post owner), building an on-chain, market-based record of opinions and credibility. The platform aims to replace trust in legacy institutions (media, academia, government) with a transparent feedback loop between 'who you trust' and 'what they said when it counted,' enabling use cases like an infinite analytics layer over on-chain opinions, persuasion/prediction markets, precision audience targeting, and new income streams for independent researchers and journalists. The native $IMO token can be staked or unstaked on any user (without risk of loss) to boost the visibility of posts, and can be acquired via ETH conversion in-app or purchased on SushiSwap (Arbitrum). Ideamarket was founded by Mike Elias, with initial smart contracts built by Alexander Schlindwein (audited by Quantstamp) and later led by Kelton Madden as Lead Smart Contract Developer. The project launched V1 in February 2021, attracted over $1 million in deposits, received press coverage from NASDAQ and Vice, and migrated to Arbitrum to reduce gas costs, building a community of thousands of users ('Propheteers') across Twitter and Discord.
