Description

IBA Foundation was established as an independent entity in 2017 by BoP Innovation Center, SNV, VC4Africa, and Nijenrode University, building on the Inclusive Business Accelerator initiative started in 2013 with support from the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Its objective was to promote the inclusive business agenda and spotlight businesses developing inclusive business models in growth markets across Asia, Africa, and Latin America, serving entrepreneurs, mentors, and investors through toolkits, bootcamps, training methodologies, and program opportunities. Unable to secure new partners to sustain itself at scale, the foundation announced its dissolution in April 2022. Its work continues through its founding partners: BoP Innovation Center continues providing inclusive business and inclusive innovation advisory toolkits and training; VC4A incorporates the IBA network and hosts programs and online bootcamps on its VC4A.com platform; and SNV, particularly SNV Vietnam, continues carrying forward the IBA mission locally.
