The Institute of Free Technology (IFT), legally IFT Studio Pte Ltd., is a Singapore-based, mission-driven tech startup studio that emerged from the Status project. Guided by principles of liberty, censorship resistance, and privacy, IFT supports startups and develops its own portfolio of projects focused on public goods and civil liberties in the digital age. The organization provides comprehensive support through specialized departments: Vac (technical R&D), financial services, a legal team for the blockchain landscape, PeopleOps for talent, and 'Acid,' a creative branding studio. IFT's portfolio of decentralized infrastructure projects includes Waku, Nimbus, Codex, Nomos, Status, and Keycard.
