Description
IXO builds the 'Internet of Impacts' — a Spatial Web platform combining blockchain infrastructure, verifiable data, and AI agents (Oracles) to coordinate, finance, verify and govern real-world impact activities. Its public Layer-1 blockchain, the ixo Impact Hub, secures the network via delegated proof-of-stake using the IXO token, which is also used for governance, oracle/AI service payments, and impact staking rewards. IXO's products include IXO Portal (a web app for managing impact asset portfolios, governance and claims), IXO Studio (a no-code domain/protocol builder), IXO Mobile, and the IXO Ontology (a semantic data layer for cognitive digital twins). The organisation partners with and powers solution platforms such as Emerging (clean cooking/modern energy transition in Africa), Yoma (youth green-economy gig platform), PathGen (pathogen genomics co-developed with Duke-NUS), and Qi. IXO serves clients and partners across climate, health, education and environmental sectors, including NGOs, development funders (e.g. UBS Optimus Foundation, UNICEF), universities (UC Berkeley, Duke-NUS), and impact investors, and is ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certified. Founded in 2017 as a Swiss non-profit foundation, IXO has since evolved into a broader ecosystem including IXO World Company and the Impacts Venture Cooperative.
