Description

KeepKey Vault Desktop is a desktop application for KeepKey hardware wallet management on macOS, Windows, and Linux. It provides multi-chain portfolio tracking across multiple networks, device setup, firmware updates, PIN management, BIP-39 passphrase support, and cross-chain swaps via THORChain and Mayachain. A local REST API on port 1646 enables a companion Browser Extension and third-party applications to communicate with the connected hardware device. The Browser Extension uses the standard window.ethereum interface to connect the hardware wallet to EVM-compatible decentralized applications. A TypeScript SDK (keepkey-vault-sdk) is available on npm for developers building integrations.

Description

KeepKey is a physical hardware wallet for private key storage and transaction signing. Keys are generated and stored on the device during setup and never leave it. All transactions are reviewed on the built-in display and require physical button confirmation before signing. Firmware and hardware schematics are fully open source with deterministic, reproducible builds for independent verification. The device supports Bitcoin, Ethereum, Cosmos SDK chains, THORChain, Solana, XRP, TRON, TON, and various EVM networks, with cross-chain swaps via THORChain and Mayachain available through the companion desktop application.
