Description
Kintsu is a liquid staking protocol on the Monad blockchain. Users deposit MON into the Kintsu stake pool and receive sMON receipt tokens in return. The protocol automatically delegates the pooled MON across participating validators who earn yield through Proof-of-Stake consensus and MEV fees. This yield is then compounded by delegating it back to validators as additional stake, increasing the value of sMON relative to MON over time. While the underlying MON is staked and earning yield, the sMON receipt tokens remain fungible and can be used throughout the DeFi ecosystem for activities like trading, lending, and gaming, a feature termed "composable yield". The protocol is governed by a purpose-built DAO, a representative democracy where participants can vote on proposals and validator registry allocations, or delegate their voting power. The on-chain validator registry is transparent and permissionless, with validators competing to generate the highest yield to earn more stake delegation from the Kintsu pool.Grant Funding
