Description

Klima Protocol is open-source, rules-based infrastructure for carbon markets on Base. It connects carbon-credit suppliers with retirement demand through standardized carbon classes, unified liquidity, transparent pricing, and programmatic settlement. Buyers can procure and permanently retire credits with onchain proof, while suppliers can add registry-issued credits to the protocol and developers can integrate its APIs and tooling. Its Klima 2.0 architecture uses carbon inventory, liquidity, and coordination layers to facilitate carbon retirement without discretionary intermediaries or retirement fees.
