Description

Litecoin is a proof-of-work L1 blockchain providing peer-to-peer payment infrastructure without central authorities, using decentralized consensus to process transactions faster and at lower cost than Bitcoin. The network supports opt-in confidential transactions via Mimblewimble Extension Blocks (MWEB), obfuscating transaction amounts for improved fungibility. LTC is the native asset with a capped supply of 84 million, with block rewards halving approximately every four years.
