Litheum is building a blockchain platform centered on its Proof of Performance (PoP) consensus, which it claims delivers 'End-to-End Decentralization' by incentivizing every critical Remote Procedure Call (RPC). This design is intended to overcome the scaling bottlenecks that have historically limited blockchain adoption, enabling microtransactions and allowing AI agents to act on behalf of companies and individuals at scale. Target use cases include micro-lending P2P protocols, micro-order-book DEXs, micro-liquidity pools, and automated DCA strategies, positioning Litheum as infrastructure for DeFAI (DeFi plus AI) and next-generation DeFi and micro-finance applications. The network relies on participants called 'Runners' who provide the skills and resources needed to operate the Litheum network, and the company operates a Builders Program and Testnet to onboard developers.
