Loxodrome

Loxodrome is a DePIN-focused decentralized exchange and liquidity layer built on IoTeX, offering token swaps with low slippage through deep liquidity and advanced AMM technology. It uses a ve(3,3)-style tokenomics model where LOXO token holders lock tokens for veLOXO to vote on liquidity pools, earn emissions, bribes, and trading fees. Its primary users are DeFi traders, liquidity providers, and DePIN protocols within the IoTeX ecosystem.

Description

Loxodrome is described as 'the native depin-focused liquidity layer on IoTeX,' providing an automated market maker (AMM) that enables users to swap tokens with minimal slippage via smart routing and deep liquidity. The protocol operates on a vote-escrow model: users lock LOXO tokens for up to two years to receive veLOXO, which grants voting power over which liquidity pools receive weekly LOXO emissions. LP stakers earn LOXO emissions by attracting veLOXO holder votes, while veLOXO holders earn bribes and trading fees for directing votes to specific pools. Protocols seeking emissions can request gauge whitelisting and offer bribes to attract veLOXO voter support. Loxodrome also operates LoxoNFT, an NFT collection offering holders passive income from a share of trading fees and secondary NFT sales, LOXO emission rewards for staking, and exclusive airdrops. The project partners with numerous DePIN and infrastructure projects in the IoTeX ecosystem, including Bedrock, IoTeX_Daily, U2DPN, Inferix GPU, DePIN Buddy, and others, and has a roadmap covering mainnet launch, airdrop, launchpad integration, and perpetual trading functionality.
